The second episode of my “YoYo Player” podcast just dropped! The first episode was my origin story…how I found my way from being a homeless punk in Tallahassee, FL to becoming a professional yoyo demonstrator. This episode is my co-host Mark telling his origin story from FSU film school to…professional yoyo demonstrator.
Listening to both of you guys is truly entertaining. It's like reliving our family history. I loved it when Mark discovered that a yo-yo could get a new string. Weren't those directions written on the back of the blister pack? (You threw that cardstock away, didn't you Mark?) Always wondered what Bill Liebowitz had to do with a connection to Mark.
There were "pockets" of people all around the country sharing and teaching kids tricks in 1998, especially around Michigan. Good times!
I'm looking forward to hearing it and glad Mark is upgrading his mic. I was also going to suggest something using something like Descript for editing. In particular I was going to suggest Descript's "Studio Sound" mode, which does wonders cleaning up audio for podcasts. I think Mark's new mic should do the trick, but if you ever wanted to learn more about Descript, hit me up and I'll show you how I use it.
Thanks man! I'm using Adobe Audition since I already have it with my Creative Cloud subscription and I'm fairly comfortable with the interface, but definitely need to dig deeper into settings. I suspect that with each subsequent episode y'all will be able to play along with the "Sound Like Steve Learned Something" home game ha ha
