Substack has a Nazi problem. Here is one of many, many articles you can find about this:

I’m not so naive to believe that we can ever have any public-facing spaces that will ever be well and truly free of racist shitheads, but I do believe in at least *trying* to keep the fuckers out and Substack doesn’t seem to be putting much effort into even trying.
I’m too fuckin’ old to just not care about stuff like this or ignore it or assume it’ll handle itself while I’m busy ignoring it so I’m moving my writing over to a site that I know doesn’t have any fuckin’ Nazis on it: mine.
I’ll figure out some plugin or another to keep emailing y’all these posts so that you don’t have to go hunting for them. But this will be my last post on this account, which I’m going to leave here so that no one else takes my username and so that I can at least suck whatever little bit of SEO clout it gives me to direct to my actual site.
And I’ll end with this, which explains why content moderation is important:
Good call. Substack was a great tool, but this was another painful reminder of what happens when the people at top make terrible decisions.
I hear Ghost is a decent alternative to Substack for hosting newsletters. I think more options will come to WordPress for similar things too, but currently aren't as good.
Wow. I guess I need to do this too.
Thank you for letting me know. Holy hell.
